How to check a Singapore company

Search the company free on Bizfile, the portal of Singapore's register (ACRA). A Business Profile (S$5.50) adds its directors and shareholders on record.

  1. Search the company by name or UEN on Bizfile's free entity search: its status and registered address.
  2. Buy its Business Profile (S$5.50): its directors, share capital and the shareholders on record.
  3. Buy a People Profile (S$33) for each director: their current and past appointments, and their shareholdings.
  4. Buy its register of company documents (S$11), a dated list of its filings, then copies of those you need.
  5. Check the Government Gazette for winding-up notices, and SG Courts Judgments for court decisions.

What the register leaves out: who stands behind its shareholders and nominees, which the public cannot see, and what the press reports.

Or send the company's name and city to LightRay. In about 12 minutes: who owns it, who runs it, what it has filed, any court matters and its press. First three free.
