Check a company without leaving Claude
Add LightRay to Claude, then ask about a company by its name with its city or country. The report comes back in the chat: the background, any questions to ask and what to do next, with a link to the full report and its PDF.
Claude opens and asks you to confirm before LightRay is added.
Add it to Claude
- Select Add to Claude, and sign in to Claude if it asks.
- Confirm in Claude to add LightRay.
- In a chat, ask about a company by its name with its city or country.
- When Claude asks you to connect LightRay, sign in with your email.
On a Team or Enterprise plan, an owner adds LightRay for the organization first. Each person then connects it with their own email.
You can also add it by hand: in Claude, open Customize, then Connectors, select Add custom connector, and enter LightRay as the name and https://app.lightray.ai/mcp as the URL.
Sign in with your email
Claude asks you to connect LightRay when you add it, or the first time it uses it. LightRay's sign-in page then opens. There is no password.
Enter your email address. LightRay emails you a link and a six-digit code.
Type the code on the sign-in page, or open the link on the device where you asked. Both work once, within 15 minutes. You then go back to Claude.
What to ask
Ask Claude about a company by its name with its city or country, for example:
- Check Company name, City
- Is my LightRay report on Company name, City ready?
- List my LightRay reports
Claude can use three LightRay tools:
- Check a company: starts a new report, or brings back a recent one.
- Read a report: shows how far a report has got, then the report and its link.
- List my reports: your recent reports from Claude, newest first.
A new report takes about 12 minutes. If a recent report on the company is stored, it comes back at once.
If several companies match the name, LightRay lists them and you pick one.
LightRay checks companies, not people.
Your free reports
Each email address you sign in with has three free reports. Checking the same company again doesn't count, and neither does a report that fails on LightRay's side.
Reading a report or listing yours uses none.
After your three free reports, LightRay quotes a price for more, for you or your firm.

Privacy
If you use LightRay inside Claude, we use the email address you sign in with to send you a one-time sign-in link and code, and we keep it only in a form that cannot be read back, to count your reports and keep you signed in. We also keep, in the same form, the network you first signed in from, to limit misuse. We receive the names of the companies you ask LightRay to check, as with any other report, and nothing else from your Claude account.

Help
- No email after a few minutes? Look in your spam folder, or send it again from the sign-in page.
- Opened the link in another browser? Type the code from the same email on the sign-in page instead.
- Claude doesn't use LightRay in a chat? Select + in the message box, then Connectors, and turn LightRay on.
- Claude shows Reconnect next to LightRay? Select it and sign in again with the same email.
- To remove LightRay, open Customize, then Connectors, in Claude, select LightRay and remove it.
